Innovative operational environment

Micropolis Ii is a technology center in Ii, approximately a 25-minute drive from Oulu. The center was founded around the competence of companies in the microelectronics sector in the late 1990s. Since then, other types of entrepreneurial activities and different kinds of service-sector companies and businesses have established operations at the technology center.

Physically, Micropolis comprises two separate buildings, the first of which was completed in October 1997. The second construction phase of Micropolis Technology Centre was completed in early autumn 1999. The properties are owned by the Ii municipality, and the business premises are managed by the municipally owned property company Ii Valley Ltd.

Micropolis offers high-technology companies and industry service companies a competitive and innovative operating environment. The technology center is equipped with clean room facilities and production and office space that meet the companies' stringent demands. Office and business spaces of different sizes are available even on a short notice.
