Innovative operational environment

Micropolis is a Technology centre situated in Ii Municipality. It was established in 1997 based on Microelectronics know-how. The development company Micropolis Ii ltd is responsible for enhancing Micro and Nanotechnologies in Oulu Region.

Micropolis Technology centre consists of two separate premises, first one was built in October 1997, and the latter premises were completed in early autumn 1999. Property is owned by Ii Municipality and Ii Valley Ltd manages the premises.

Micropolis offers to high technology and service companies’ competitive innovative operational environment. Technology centre is equipped with clean room facilities, production and office space for demanding use.

Micropolis is an excellent place to hold conferences and meetings.

In addition to several different business companies, Micropolis Spectrum test centre also has facilities in Micropolis. Testing centre specializes in product testing and material analysis. Spectrum's essential application area lies in a field of X-ray technology.

Development and marketing company Micropolis Ii Ltd assists creating new technology and know-how for companies and facets within business development. Micropolis head-office is situated in Ii Valley and side-office in Helsinki.
